Father Christmas on the surf

The wording says it all....Happy Christmas Mate!

Thank you to Amy from Stampin Stuff an Aussie card maker from Cairns for allowing me to case this card.

Typical Christmas colours topped with an Aussie surfing Santa.  The Santa image was stamped twice, the second Santa image, snipped out and placed with a stampin dimension.

The wave was given a sparkle with the SU dazzling diamonds powder adhered by using the SU 2-way glue pen and lightly pressing.  The card was finished off with a couple of red brads, a little paper piercing in the bottom corner and checkered red ribbon from the at-home stash.

Hope you like it.
Keep smiling......Ann

Sending you a smile...

A card of friendship given to a neighbour who was working through some health issues.  Simple yet stylish.  A thank you to Mary Fish, US Stampin Up demonstrator for her permission to case this card.

The photo doesn't really do this card justice as it was much brighter than the photo shows.  And please just close your eyes to the disorganisation in the background...a typical look when a card is completed.

The card base is Whisper white which is matted with basic black and topped with at-home rusty coloured textured cardstock.  The images from the Mostly Fowers stamp set were inked using Black Staz On Ink and then heat embossed leaving a high shine finish.  I had trouble getting the basic black ink to give a good coverage on these solid stamps, but the Staz On did it with ease!  The images were snipped out and attached with a SU dimension.  The card is finished off with basic black 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and the sentiment is a rub on from the at-home stash.
Hope you like it.

Keep smiling......Ann

My heart's on Fire!

This one just had to be real red cardstock and red ink.  A special card for our 30th Wedding Anniversary.  One of my favourite stamp sets again..... A Happy Heart. The card starts off with a Whisper White card base, topped with the real red topper, which is stamped with 'love' from the SU wonderful words stamp set.  The centre piece is whisper white matted on basic black and the corners have been done with the paper piercing tool, a great little treasure to have.  The red heart takes centre stage.  This was stamped first on the whisper white c/s and then stamped again on another piece of c/s but with Versamark and then real red on top which was then heat embossed to bring it up to a luscious shine, snipped out and then attached with a SU dimension and adorned with a SU red rhinestone from the Circle Fire range.  The basic black ribbon is placed on prior to attaching the card topper to the base.

Hope you like it.

Keep smiling.....Ann

Baby mini cards

One of my favourite card types is creating mini's.  There quick but delightful, and can still bring a smile to someone's face.

These two little cuties were quick and easy to make using mainly offcuts from other projects.  A great way of using those little odd pieces of cardstock that you just can't bring yourself to throw away.

Hope you like them. Keep smiling.....Ann

Wishing you a happy heart - blue

Tonings of blue along with the whisper white gives a crisp finish to this card.

Simple layering of colours and paper sizing help to draw the eye to the centre focus which is the dandelion and the small hearts floating away.  The white ribbon and rub on help with the finishing touches.

Hope you like it.  Keep smiling.....Ann

I love you...with a happy heart

I must thank Mary Fish, US Stampin Up demonstrator for allowing me to case this card.

The dandelion image emits tiny little hearts....so cute....brings back childhood memories of how we used to blow them in the wind!  I inked the main image in Versamark, stamped it on Bravo Burgundy and heat embossed it in white.  It's layered on a piece of at home - Caramel coloured textured cardstock.

Bella Bleu and Bella Rose DSP creates a beautiful background (both patterns).  The top layer is matted on at home - caramel coloured textured card stock.  I popped out the sentiment (also from A Happy Heart using basic black ink on Bravo Burgundy cardstock) with my oval punch.  The individual image was stamped again in Versamark on Bravo Burgundy, heat embossd in White and cropped with a 1/2" circle punch.  Tip:  I next layered the embossed heart on the sentiment with a Stampin' Dimension.

The finished sentiment is adhered to the Bravo Burgundy 1/4" grosgrain ribbon with a small silver heart brad.  The card base is at home - lighter caramel coloured textured cardstock.  The dandelion is topped off with a small rhinestone in the centre.

Hope you like it.
Keep smiling....Ann

Bloomin' with Beauty

The smaller blue and pink cards were cased from Andrea Walford a Canadian SU demonstrator whom I thank.  These look lovely in real life and again just need the addition of a sentiment to finish them off.

I experimented with the wonderful words set, using the 'thankyou' as the flower stem; I was happy with the finished look.  The flower head is stamped three times in basic black, snipped out, and layered giving a 3D effect using dimensions.  It really does work well.

Hope you like it.
Keep smiling......Ann

Close as a Memory

The Close as a Memory stamp set is ideal for these occasions.  The colours were an experiment but I think worked well.  I stamped the flower bouquet onto textured cardstock which didn't take too well, but I didn't mind the effect.

Hope you like it.

Keep smiling.....Ann

On the move....

The cards are the focus here and not the mess in the background.

The main one here is the 'just moved' card, again for my in-laws who were retiring from their rural property into town.  The label was adhered with a dimension. Yes, and like most rural families a lot went in on the truck!
Hope you like it.

Keep smiling.....Ann
